Vegetable production in the UK is a complicated business, involving greenhouses, polytunnels and field production. We’ve been growing chicory in special ‘forcing’ rooms since 1983 and since 2010 we’ve been farmers in field-grown vegetables. More recently, we are proud to welcome our very first smart farm to the DGM growing mix, using hydroponic technology to maximise yield from a smaller land footprint, this greenhouse technology also incorporates a closed loop water system to further drive our sustainability goals.
